Skilled Helper

Role Overview

The Skilled Helper is responsible for supporting operational processes on the shop floor, with key duties around material management, machine assistance, and compliance with safety procedures. The role is crucial for ensuring efficient production and minimizing downtime.

Key Duties

• Organize and store raw materials in their designated spots on the factory floor.
• Monitor and maintain sufficient levels of raw materials to prevent disruptions in machine operation.
• Ensure that all waste bins and trolleys are properly positioned as per factory requirements.
• Provide direct support to machine operators during the setup process and when switching machine sizes.
• Carry out tasks as directed by the operator, especially during stoppages, including assisting with cleaning and repacking.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere strictly to safety and environmental protocols. Participate in safety meetings (toolbox talks) led by Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) officers.
• Engage in discussions and contribute to plans and improvements regarding the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) management system at all relevant stages (planning, implementation, evaluation, and review).

Required Background

• Possession of a high school diploma or a technical diploma in a related field.
• Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
• Familiarity with manufacturing procedures for baby diapers, feminine napkins, underpads, and adult diapers.
• Strong understanding of machine operations, safety practices, and general production requirements.
