Role Summary

The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for architecting and maintaining scalable, production-grade Kubernetes clusters, automating application deployments, managing cloud resources, and optimizing system reliability through infrastructure automation and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, operate, and scale Kubernetes clusters while continuously monitoring control plane operations, network configurations, and workload scheduling.
  • Create, enhance, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency.
  • Implement progressive deployment strategies such as Canary and Blue/Green deployments to minimize downtime.
  • Provision and secure cloud resources within AWS, GCP, or Azure environments using software-defined infrastructure methodologies.
  • Identify repetitive operational manual tasks and automate them by developing reusable scripts and tools using Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP, including routing and load balancing problems.
  • Collaborate across development and operations teams to ensure system reliability, visibility, and scalable performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Three to six years’ experience as an SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineer managing live production systems.
  • Strong conceptual understanding and hands-on expertise in Kubernetes architecture and troubleshooting.
  • Experienced in building and managing CI/CD workflows using modern tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD, with a proven ability to resolve pipeline issues.
  • Proficient in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including knowledge of service provisioning and identity/access management.
  • Advanced scripting or programming ability in Python, Go, or Bash to develop automation tools rather than performing manual operations.
  • Sound foundational knowledge in core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, routing, and load balancing.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, IT, or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
