Role Overview

The Shift Supervisor plays a key leadership role, ensuring seamless restaurant function during assigned shifts. You will actively lead and mentor the team, uphold exceptional food quality, customer service, safety, and cleanliness standards, and manage daily operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and organize the team throughout your shift, fostering motivation and performance.
• Oversee team members’ performance, provide coaching, constructive feedback, and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain consistent adherence to food preparation, service, and safety protocols.
• Address customer inquiries and efficiently resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with restaurant opening and closing tasks as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and contribute to basic stock management activities.
• Participate in cash handling, operate POS systems, and support basic financial reconciliations.
• Guarantee compliance with food safety regulations, workplace health and safety (WHS) policies, and company guidelines.
• Provide clear communication with management regarding shift performance and operational matters.

Required Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in a supervisory capacity within hospitality, quick service restaurants, or retail environments.
• Strong leadership abilities combined with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven capability to train, coach, and inspire team members.
• A solid understanding of food safety standards, customer service excellence, and restaurant operations.
