Role Overview
The Service Technician position is a full-time, onsite role based in Sydney, NSW. The primary responsibility includes maintenance, repair, and servicing of various equipment such as Variable Message Boards, Video Boards, Lighting Towers, Generators, and Air Conditioners. Daily duties involve conducting routine inspections, diagnosing faults, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, and ensuring all equipment is safe, dependable, and prepared for deployment.
The technician will handle field service requests, assist with equipment setup and dismantling at job sites, and maintain precise records of all performed tasks. Clear communication with customers and team members is essential, alongside delivering courteous service while complying with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities to efficiently identify and resolve equipment problems.
- Experience with field service tasks, including onsite repairs and client support.
- Excellent customer service skills to maintain professional interactions with clients and coworkers.
- Possession of relevant technical or trade certifications in mechanical, electrical, or related fields is advantageous.
- Familiarity with generators, lighting towers, HVAC systems, or comparable machinery is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring schematics, and service documents.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety practices, and capacity to work autonomously or collaboratively.
- Valid driver's license and readiness for local travel to various job locations as needed.
