Job Overview
Join Tetra Pak's Services Sales Team as a Service Sales Manager based in Hamilton, New Zealand, where your role will be pivotal in supporting customers’ operational success within the Food & Beverage industry. This position demands up to 50% travel to customer sites to foster and expand business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate overarching global and regional strategies into specific, actionable market plans including forecasting and developing three-year strategic sales plans.
- Gain in-depth understanding of customer purchasing motivations related to services.
- Formulate and execute comprehensive sales and business strategies tailored for assigned accounts.
- Analyze and anticipate customer needs proactively to uncover and cultivate growth opportunities.
- Manage sales opportunities by leveraging value-based selling techniques, including cross-selling and upselling.
- Lead negotiations and successfully close deals to enhance the profitability of service contracts.
- Support and implement sales plans focused on key accounts.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to design and roll out effective service business plans.
- Track customer satisfaction, service quality, and profitability metrics consistently.
- Serve as the primary channel between customers and technical support teams to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Initiate and oversee quality planning efforts, monitoring progress relative to set performance targets.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a balanced mix of commercial insight, technical knowledge, and strong customer orientation.
- Bring at least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or related customer-interfacing roles.
- Exhibit self-motivation, capable of working independently to achieve objectives.
- Demonstrate a 'hunter' mentality with a proven track record in discovering and converting new business prospects.
- Excel in consultative selling techniques and have exceptional communication skills.
- Have a successful history of nurturing long-term customer relationships and closing business deals.
- Quick to learn, with solid presentation and persuasion abilities.
