Overview
Oracle India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in big data technologies to join their Bengaluru office. The role involves architecting and maintaining extensive data pipelines and collaborating across teams to deliver efficient ETL solutions tailored to business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and upkeep scalable data workflows using Airflow to extract actionable intelligence from Snowflake data warehouses.
- Work alongside diverse teams to gather requirements and engineer ETL processes aligned with organizational objectives.
- Write advanced SQL queries aimed at enhancing database efficiency and resolving Kafka message queue challenges.
- Maintain system reliability by introducing monitoring mechanisms and routinely conducting preventive maintenance.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5 to 12 years of experience in software engineering with a strong emphasis on big data frameworks including PySpark, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Bricks.
- Expertise in Python programming plus familiarity with AWS cloud services such as S3 storage and Lambda serverless computing.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake database systems including query tuning on large-scale data environments.
