Senior Program Manager

About the Role

We are initiating a significant strategic transformation within our retail business and require a seasoned Senior Transformation Programme Manager to oversee complex, large-scale retail transformation projects. This role is key in orchestrating end-to-end delivery involving business, technology, vendors, and operational teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals and the achievement of defined business results.

Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for program planning, defining scope, establishing milestones, and managing budgets across various workstreams.
• Implement and maintain strong governance frameworks to oversee risks, interdependencies, and stakeholder engagement.
• Engage with senior leaders and technical teams effectively to ensure smooth execution in a dynamic and ambiguous setting.
• Collaborate closely with implementation partners and internal teams to maintain project momentum and solve challenges.
• Coordinate efforts across business units, technology partners, vendors, and leadership to ensure consistent delivery.
• Provide regular updates and reports to portfolio governance bodies and executive stakeholders, incorporating feedback for ongoing phases.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in programme management or leading transformation initiatives, specifically within large retail transformation projects.
• Advanced skills in program governance including planning, managing risks and issues (RAID), tracking dependencies, and preparing executive-level reports.
• Proven expertise managing multiple third-party vendors, implementation partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong capability to bring clarity and structure to complex and uncertain project environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influence skills, able to connect with both technological teams and top business leadership seamlessly.
• Solid understanding of retail-specific technologies, industry trends, and operational aspects.

Additional Information

Location: Dublin or Reading office with a hybrid model allowing up to 2 days per week onsite

Contract Type: Initial 6-month contract

Day Rate Contract
