Role Summary
The Senior Manager of Social Media Analytics leads the social analytics team, driving comprehensive measurement of social media performance and providing strategic insights that enhance engagement, brand value, and business outcomes. This position combines advanced analytical expertise with in-depth knowledge of social trends, platform algorithms, and organic social content evaluation. The role involves managing a team and collaborating closely with Social Strategy, Paid Media, Creative, Influencer, and Brand Marketing departments to inform decisions and optimize content strategies through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social analytics strategy.
- Lead and mentor analysts to cultivate a culture of data-informed decision-making.
- Serve as the main analytics advisor to senior leadership across Social, Brand, and Paid Media divisions.
- Analyze organic social content to identify success factors and guide future actions.
- Oversee the creation of consolidated dashboards and reports aggregating data across multiple social media platforms.
- Produce regular performance reports (weekly, monthly, campaign-based) with actionable insights.
- Translate analytical data into strategic recommendations influencing content, media, and brand strategies.
- Manage social listening initiatives using tools such as Sprinklr, Dash Hudson, or Brandwatch.
- Spot emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and cultural moments to inform brand activities.
- Perform benchmark analyses against industry competitors and leaders.
- Measure effectiveness of launches, continuous content, creator content, user-generated content, and trend-based activities.
- Collaborate with teams to define success metrics for campaigns.
- Assess campaign outcomes and propose optimizations to maximize ROI.
- Integrate data from organic and paid channels for unified performance measurement.
- Create audience profiles using behavioral, demographic, and psychographic data.
- Identify new audience segments and opportunities for targeted engagement.
- Provide insights to guide influencer strategy, creative efforts, and prioritization of platforms.
- Present analytics findings to senior stakeholders and assist teams in applying insights to creative and strategic planning.
- Work alongside Brand, Creative, E-commerce, and PR to align KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- Promote a data-first culture throughout marketing and social media teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in social media analytics with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Extensive expertise analyzing organic social media across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
- Proficient in analytics and reporting systems such as Sprinklr and Power BI.
- Experience with social listening and reporting tools like Sprinklr, Dash Hudson, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, or Emplifi.
- Deep familiarity with social KPIs: reach, impressions, views, watch time, retention, saves, shares, engagement rate, follower growth, sentiment, and share of voice.
- Advanced skills in Excel and data visualization techniques.
- Proven ability to convert social media performance data into actionable content and creative guidance.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication capabilities.
- Skilled at simplifying complex data into clear, implementable insights.
