About the Role
A prominent global life sciences organization is looking to hire a Senior HR Business Partner on an initial 6-month contract basis. This position, based in the US with hybrid and remote work options, involves collaborating closely with senior leadership teams across R&D and Technical Operations. The role requires serving as a strategic consultant as well as an operational ally to enhance organizational performance, oversee talent strategy, plan workforce needs, and lead change processes in a multifaceted matrix environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior executives to ensure alignment between human resources strategies and business goals.
- Offer counsel on organizational capability, talent planning, and workforce effectiveness.
- Participate in advancing strategic HR projects and initiatives.
- Manage organizational design and restructuring activities to fit evolving business requirements.
- Identify organizational challenges and implement viable solutions.
- Lead talent review and succession planning to maintain and grow essential talent pools.
- Develop and execute talent development and retention approaches in partnership with leadership.
- Conduct workforce planning aligned with operational demands and business priorities.
- Detect capability gaps and design focused interventions and solutions.
- Provide leadership coaching on performance, team dynamics, and leadership growth.
- Guide on complex employee relations and foster high-performing, engaged teams.
- Champion culture enhancement, employee engagement, and organizational change management initiatives.
- Use employee feedback and people analytics to create targeted action plans.
- Ensure effective execution of performance, talent management, and compensation programs.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and operational groups to ensure a consistent employee experience.
- Analyze workforce data to spot trends and risks, and offer recommendations to leadership.
- Measure and track HR initiatives’ effectiveness and outcomes.
Experience and Qualifications
- Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Proven success influencing senior leadership at VP levels and above.
- Expertise in organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, and leading change.
- Strong business understanding coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Experience within global enterprises.
- Proficient in data analytics and applying data-driven decision-making.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Preferred Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- HR certifications are advantageous.
- Experience in global pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors is strongly favored.
