Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with a strong analytical mindset and commercial focus to join our finance team. Candidates should possess extensive knowledge in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial reporting, and strategic financial evaluation. Professional credentials such as ACCA, CPA, or CA are essential. Experience in sectors like construction, real estate, infrastructure, or holding companies is highly advantageous, as the role requires managing complex business operations, budgeting, detailed financial performance reviews, and aiding executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full cycle of annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
- Construct detailed financial models and deliver actionable insights that assist strategic business decisions.
- Generate monthly management reports, create dashboards, and perform in-depth financial performance analyses.
- Carry out variance analysis to identify key financial drivers, risks, and opportunities, communicating these effectively.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS standards and support all financial reporting obligations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing, audits, and enforce financial control measures.
- Evaluate project profitability, cost metrics, cash flow, and operational key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with business units, project teams, and senior leadership to enhance financial outcomes.
- Provide financial insight for investment appraisal, business growth initiatives, and operational enhancements.
- Champion advancements in reporting accuracy, automation, and financial analysis tools.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
- At least 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, management reporting, or corporate finance.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis techniques.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Background in the construction sector, real estate firms, infrastructure projects, or holding companies.
- Experience managing financial processes across multiple subsidiaries or various business units.
- Familiarity with project accounting, cost control, capital expenditure analysis, and consolidated group reporting.
- Direct involvement with senior management for strategic planning and financial decision support.
- Skills include FP&A and business partnering, IFRS compliance, sophisticated financial modelling, forecasting, management reporting, detailed project financial assessment, group consolidation, Power BI or data analytics, and ERP system proficiency.
