This full-time onsite role offers a salary ranging from $61,900 to $75,000 annually, depending on qualifications. Role Purpose
This position provides senior-level administrative support to enhance the City Manager's Office's efficiency, working independently under limited supervision while reporting major activities through planned meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare correspondence, manage visitor reception, coordinate both in-person and virtual meetings, and act as a liaison representing the City Manager's Office at internal meetings across all staff levels.
- Manage communications for the City Manager's Office and the City Council, internally and externally.
- Compile and prepare materials for the City Manager's Office and City Council, including producing weekly and monthly publications as assigned.
- Take detailed minutes during meetings.
- Oversee scheduling, calendars, and travel arrangements for the City Manager’s Office and City Council, anticipating needs and coordinating meetings and public events.
- Assist with administrative business functions including invoice processing, purchase order management, payroll, and expense reporting.
- Help plan and execute departmental events.
- Participate in internal committees as a representative of the City Manager's Office.
- Coordinate internal meetings and manage coverage calendars for breaks and vacations.
- Manage record retention for the department, ensuring proper storage and adherence to retention schedules; facilitate public information requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, political science, or a closely related field.
- Minimum six years of mid- to senior-level administrative or similar experience.
