Senior Designer (Apparel)

Role Overview

As a Senior Designer specializing in apparel, you will spearhead the creation of seasonal collections by establishing the creative vision consistent with ORTOVOX’s brand values. Your leadership will guide the design team to ensure a unified aesthetic across all product lines, focusing primarily on premium technical mountain sports apparel and accessories.

Key Responsibilities

• Create seasonal design concepts aligned with brand strategy and maintain a coherent design language throughout product categories.
• Lead the design process functionally and provide creative guidance to your team.
• Design technical, high-quality mountain sports products including apparel and accessories.
• Monitor global trends, consumer demands, competitor activities, and advances in materials, construction, and sustainability to inform innovative product development.
• Develop seasonal palettes for colors, materials, and trims, ensuring consistent integration into collections.
• Collaborate closely with product management, apparel development, pattern engineering, and material development teams.
• Co-develop inventive functional solutions, specialized garment constructions, and novel processing techniques alongside the apparel development team.

Candidate Profile

• Completed degree or equivalent training in apparel or product design.
• Over seven years' experience in technical apparel design, preferably within outdoor or performance sportswear sectors.
• Proven track record in developing and executing seasonal collections, with solid grasp of design systems and collection consistency.
• Familiarity with garment construction and pattern making advantageous.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with graphics, 3D design, and visualization software such as CLO 3D is beneficial.
• Strong technical aptitude with the capacity to visually communicate and persuasively present design concepts.
• Independent, methodical, and solution-driven work approach, capable of managing complex collections effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to confidently represent design choices across multiple teams.
• Passionate about mountain sports, nature, and sustainable product design.
