Senior Accountant - Accounts & Finance Function

Role overview

The organization is expanding its finance team and is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Accounts & Finance function in Thane. The business operates in real estate development and is growing with 4 active projects and a team of more than 120 people. This position is suited to someone who thrives in a disciplined, process-driven environment and wants to build a long-term career in finance.

This is a broad accounting role. After the selection process, the candidate will be matched to the area that best fits their strengths and experience within the accounts function.

Core work areas

The selected professional may work across one or more of the following areas:

• Checking invoices, validating supporting documents, and ensuring payment files are complete.
• Preparing and tracking payment schedules and processing transactions.
• Recording payments and maintaining accurate transaction logs.
• Assisting with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
• Keeping compliance calendars updated and organized.
• Maintaining audit-ready documentation and supporting internal or external audit needs.
• Performing bank reconciliations and tracking banking transactions.
• Monitoring cash balances and assisting with fund flow planning.
• Coordinating with banks and internal stakeholders as required.
• Supporting MIS preparation and finance reports.
• Helping maintain clean, accurate books of accounts.
• Working with different departments to collect and verify financial information.

What the role requires

The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and practical experience using Tally ERP. A solid understanding of finance procedures, documentation standards, and account maintenance is important. The role also calls for accuracy, discipline, and the ability to manage work across multiple accounting areas.
