Role overview
The Security Officer will help design and execute security measures that safeguard FrieslandCampina WAMCO’s employees, assets, and day-to-day operations. This position plays an important part in security operations, risk control, investigations, and compliance so the business can operate safely, securely, and without disruption.
Strategy and policy
You will create and roll out security strategies, policies, and procedures aimed at protecting company property, staff, and operations. The role also requires ensuring alignment with internal standards and applicable government regulations while building awareness of security practices across the organization.
Security operations and site protection
The role involves overseeing the protection of facilities, assets, and personnel. You will carry out security audits, manage access control, enforce site rules, and provide security support across business activities.
Risk management and emergency readiness
You will assess vulnerabilities at site level and implement measures to reduce exposure. The position also includes setting up emergency response processes, supporting business continuity planning, and giving employees travel guidance and journey management advice when needed.
Stakeholder and law enforcement coordination
You will maintain effective working relationships with external security vendors, law enforcement bodies, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the organization receives adequate support and remains compliant with regulatory expectations.
Investigations
This role leads investigations into incidents such as theft, fraud, property loss, misconduct, and other breaches. You will also recommend corrective and disciplinary actions to reduce risk and strengthen internal controls.
Team leadership and performance management
You will guide the security team through coaching, training, performance monitoring, and ongoing capability development so the function remains effective and consistently high-performing.
Planning, budgeting, and reporting
The role includes preparing annual security plans and budgets that support business objectives. You will track security spending, use resources efficiently, and provide regular reports to management on risks, incidents, compliance, investigations, and improvement actions to support decision-making.
Candidate profile
FrieslandCampina WAMCO is looking for someone with strong security knowledge, investigative thinking, leadership ability, and the confidence to manage both internal teams and external partners. Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG setting will be an advantage.
What we ask
- A bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Military Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate security, risk management, law enforcement, military service, or a comparable security leadership role.
- Solid understanding of security operations, investigations, crisis handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience working with security vendors and coordinating with law enforcement agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and implement security policies, procedures, and business continuity plans.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership, and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments will be considered an added advantage.
