About Performance Health and Role Overview
Performance Health is actively seeking Sales Consultants to join its expanding sales team serving the New York City Metropolitan Area, specifically the New York City, Long Island, and Staten Island regions. Prospective candidates must reside within this territory. This role involves implementing a structured sales approach to meet and exceed sales objectives within hospitals, VA facilities, and outpatient rehabilitation centers. The goal is to increase market share by acquiring new business and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage regularly with customers such as Directors of Rehabilitation or Nursing, Safe Patient Handling and Fall Prevention committee members, ER Managers, and Supply Chain leaders to educate them on Performance Health’s specialized product offerings.
- Develop and nurture customer relationships through consistent, in-person visits to expand market presence.
- Proactively identify and pursue new accounts to ensure growth within the assigned territory annually.
- Utilize strategic prospecting, cross-selling, and acquisition techniques to drive territory growth.
- Offer product trials and conduct in-service sessions with both existing and prospective clients.
- Formulate and refine territory plans by analyzing comprehensive insights about the customer base.
- Manage the territory using CRM tools to analyze data, identify potential prospects, monitor competitor activities, and prioritize efforts to secure new business.
- Complete all business reports accurately and on time to provide essential operational information.
- Establish yourself as a reliable advisor by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and credibility in every customer interaction.
- Handle additional duties as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Three to five years of proven business-to-business sales experience in the medical field.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and expanding market share.
- Experience managing a curated portfolio of products and services.
- Background in the medical and/or rehabilitation sector is essential.
- Familiarity with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel daily within the territory with occasional overnight stays depending on assignments.
Benefits and Compensation
- The position offers a full-time salary range of $70,000 to $75,000 complemented by attractive commission incentives.
