About the Role

The Room Inspector is responsible for making sure guest rooms and shared hotel spaces are cleaned and presented to the property’s standards. The role also involves supervising housekeeping room attendants and supporting the overall quality of housekeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle guest and employee interactions in a courteous, service-focused way while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Help sustain a respectful and supportive team atmosphere by managing disagreements calmly and professionally.
- Pay close attention to detail and communicate effectively with guests, other departments, and housekeeping staff.
- Review lists of vacant rooms and expected departures so cleaning assignments can be organized promptly.
- Stay informed about daily occupancy, special requests, and VIP requirements.
- Coordinate with reception on room changes, VIP arrivals, special needs, and any related updates.
- Apply strong knowledge of property inspection practices.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and recreational spaces every day to confirm cleanliness and presentation meet hotel standards.
- Ensure guest service, décor, and housekeeping quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Lead meetings and training sessions when needed.
- Train staff according to the manual and monitor their performance on an ongoing basis.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in the hospitality sector is preferred.
- Strong command of reading, writing, and spoken English is needed to communicate with guests and coworkers.
- Excellent attention to detail is important for success in this role.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and operate with a high level of autonomy.
