About Artefacts
Artefacts develops an integrated software toolkit to support robotics software engineers by enabling Continuous Simulation and seamless integration with continuous integration systems. Our vision is to foster the creation of an advanced robotized world that promotes efficiency and environmental sustainability. We recognize the transformative impact that emerging AI methodologies can have on the field of robotics software development.
Role Overview
This position centers on designing and building robotic applications that enable robots to carry out sophisticated activities in dynamic and complex settings, including navigation, manipulation, understanding of surroundings, and autonomous operation.
You will have access to various hardware development platforms, including mobile robots, robotic arms, and sensors, for which you are responsible for creating application-level software. Additionally, you may work on projects involving simulated robots where hardware is yet to be realized. Our Artefacts platform will serve as a foundational tool to facilitate and accelerate your development tasks.
Software Paradigms and Technologies
We are integrating innovative software paradigms such as Software 2.0 and distributed intelligence to redefine robotics programming. Your role will involve engagement with artificial intelligence techniques and contribute directly to the evolution of our platform.
Candidate Profile
We welcome candidates passionate about robotics and AI who seek both personal and professional growth and are prepared to be deeply involved in a start-up environment. The ability to collaborate closely and commitment to the team are essential.
Demonstrable past work is important, including any of the following:

Technical Skills and Experience
Preferred expertise areas include but are not limited to:
- Deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX
- Robotics middleware such as ROS, ROS 2, and YARP
- Computer vision tools including OpenCV
- Embedded systems programming
- Programming languages such as Python, Rust, Go, C, Julia
- Version control using Git
- Containerization technologies, e.g., Docker
- Ability to adapt cutting-edge research to applied contexts
- Simulation platforms like Gazebo and Isaac Sim
- Hardware skills including electronics, CAD, and 3D printing
