Rigger and Crane Operator - Asset Management Team

About the Role

Nyrstar Port Pirie is seeking an experienced Rigger and Crane Operator to join its Asset Management team in a full-time onsite capacity. The position is based in Port Pirie, South Australia, and operates on a 5/4 rotational roster allowing for more days off than the standard weekend arrangement, including two full weekends off monthly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rigging and crane operations in accordance with HRL policies and procedures.
• Assist maintenance teams by performing lifting tasks efficiently and safely.
• Operate mobile and tower cranes as qualified under CN and CT licences.
• Adhere strictly to site safety guidelines, maintaining a confident and secure work environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a current intermediate rigging (RI) licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Valid non-slewing crane (CN) licence.
• Current elevated work platform (WP) licence.
• Forklift (LF) licence.
• Bridge and gantry crane (CB) licence.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Tower crane operator (CT) licence.
• Scissor Lift Yellow Card licence.
• Experience in the mining or resource sector or a similar industry.
• Proven ability in mobile crane operations.
• Minimum of five years’ rigging experience.
