About the Role and Company
We are looking for a Retail Media Executive to join Unilever, an internationally renowned FMCG company known for brands including Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. This temporary full-time position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, and runs until 30 June 2027. The working schedule involves 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a combination of remote and onsite work depending on business needs. The compensation is competitive, offering up to £42,000 per annum pro rata, based on experience.
Unilever's Foods division features globally recognized brands such as Knorr, Pot Noodle, and Hellmann’s. The division caters to both consumers and professional kitchens through Unilever Food Solutions, providing a wide range of products and comprehensive solutions.
Job Purpose
This role is embedded within the UKI Foods Content, Media, Commerce (CMC) team, focused on growing the business by creating engaging omnichannel marketing experiences. The CMC team collaborates closely with the Retail Execution team to ensure successful implementation of retail strategies across various retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of retail media marketing campaigns across multiple brands and retailers, managing the entire campaign lifecycle from strategy to evaluation.
- Ensure creative materials align with the respective brand toolkits and maintain consistency across campaigns.
- Align retail media plans with brand and category objectives specific to retail marketing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate retail execution plans into wider campaign strategies and ensure timely, complete delivery.
- Coordinate with customer teams to align plans with their priorities.
- Oversee retail media measurement, monitor campaign KPIs, and apply insights to refine future strategies.
- Manage and track budgets related to retail media activities, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovative in-store activations to inspire creative approaches.
- Represent the Foods retail media team in monthly business forums as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Preferably experience in FMCG retail media, but open to other candidates with applicable skills.
- Strong project management capabilities to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-moving environment.
- Commercial acumen with budget management, forecasting, and effective communication with commercial teams.
- Proficient data analysis skills to extract and communicate key business insights.
- Keen interest in shopper behavior and consumer insights.
- Creatively minded with attention to in-store brand presentation and excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Collaborative team player capable of delivering results in an ambitious team setting.
- Experience managing relationships with external agencies or clients and confidently briefing agencies.
