Role Overview

This position involves research aimed at tangible real-world advancements. Our frontier innovations concentrate on efficiency, gradient-free exploration, real-time learning, and interface design. With the decreasing cost of generating synthetic data, we now treat data as a flexible resource that can be optimized. This enables us to guide synthetic data towards desirable attributes and reveal previously unseen domains lacking sufficient data.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive product innovation by developing algorithms that respond in real-time to product signals and feedback.
• Invent novel feedback mechanisms to enhance algorithm performance.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, and algorithm fields to achieve comprehensive system efficiencies.
• Focus on measuring substantial impact through real-world applications, ensuring our algorithms effectively interact with their environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research credentials in computer science or related fields.
• At least 4 to 5 years of experience in industry research environments.
• Deep expertise in areas such as model efficiency, real-time alignment, or algorithmic optimization.
• Systems thinking capabilities to analyze and optimize the entire machine learning stack.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, along with familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, and TensorFlow.
• Understanding of model optimization methods including RLHF and fine-tuning.
• Experience working in an industrial laboratory setting with large-scale computing resources.
