Role purpose
This position focuses on keeping hotel facilities in safe, functional, and presentable condition by completing routine repair and maintenance tasks efficiently across the property.
Key duties
The role includes hands-on repair and supervision work in plumbing, painting, carpentry, and minor electrical maintenance. You will also handle restoration tasks such as replacing tiles, floor coverings, and wallpaper when needed.
Additional responsibilities include repairing or replacing windows, doors, locks, decorative electrical fixtures, cables, light bulbs, and sockets. You may also be required to carry out wall plaster repairs, periodic painting, general plumbing fixes, and replacement of silicone seals.
Other tasks involve repairing damaged shelving and furniture, supporting engineering-related guest room requests, and carrying out maintenance work in guest rooms and public areas in line with hotel policies and procedures.
You will be expected to use tools and equipment correctly, maintain them properly, and follow the required rules for storing both fixed and portable supplies. The job also requires close coordination with colleagues so tasks are completed on time and to a professional standard.
Professional and courteous communication with both staff and guests is essential. The role also includes assisting with renovation work as directed by management and staying informed about new technologies and products relevant to the department.
Qualifications and skills
Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant experience. A background from a technical school or vocational training program in areas such as mechanical systems, refrigeration, steam generators, heating and air conditioning, or plumbing is required.
Strong practical knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and general technical equipment is important, along with the ability to complete tasks independently without direct supervision. Experience with relevant technical equipment is also expected.
Fluency in Azerbaijani is mandatory. Knowledge of English and Russian is preferred. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a team, committed to ongoing learning and development, and able to work with accuracy and close attention to detail.
