Remote Medical Assistant

About the Role

Salvo Health is actively seeking experienced Medical Assistants to join our remote team. This role is perfect for motivated individuals adept at managing administrative healthcare duties from a remote setting and communicating effectively with patients via outbound calls.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound patient calls to complete intake procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-up communications.
• Manage and update medical records and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Respond to and triage incoming patient messages promptly.
• Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of patient data in EHR platforms.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and enforce strict confidentiality standards.
• Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the care team and patients.
• Oversee patient-related tasks to guarantee timely documentation and communication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a medical assistant or equivalent administrative healthcare role, preferably in a virtual capacity.
• Prior involvement with gastrointestinal (GI) conditions is advantageous.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a remote work environment.
• Experience making outbound patient calls.
• Strong proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Epic, eCW, or gGastro.
• Familiarity with message triaging, medical charting, and documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational and time management capabilities.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Experience with telemedicine platforms is considered a plus.
