Release Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and technically proficient Release Engineer to oversee and enhance the software release lifecycle. The individual in this position will coordinate the release operations, optimize deployment efficiency, maintain product standards, and ensure dependable software distribution through robust release management methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and improve release workflows, pipelines for automation, and deployment procedures.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, operations, and product teams to facilitate smooth and predictable software releases.
• Oversee build and release processes, maintain release environments, and automate deployment routines.
• Validate software packages, supervise release activities, and troubleshoot deployment challenges.
• Identify process enhancements and incorporate best practices to boost delivery speed, stability, and reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, release automation tooling, and operational processes.
• Analyze the performance of release procedures and support production readiness to align delivery with technical and business requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software development lifecycle, release management, and deployment approaches.
• Experience with continuous integration/delivery tools and automation workflows.
• Familiarity with build systems, version control, configuration management, and deployment tasks.
• Proficiency with scripting or programming languages pertinent to automation and process enhancement.
• Understanding cloud infrastructure, modern software delivery architectures, and environment concepts.
• Insight into software testing, quality assurance, and production deployment standards.
• Aptitude in diagnosing build failures, deployment issues, and environmental technical problems.
• Proven ability to work alongside development, operations, and QA teams in coordinating software releases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and technical accuracy.
