Overview
We are seeking a committed Regional Operations Director to lead multiple care homes across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex. This role focuses on fostering a culture that values high-quality, person-centered care while ensuring strong commercial performance. The organization provides expert nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care throughout the UK, including newly built luxury care homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide both strategic guidance and hands-on operational leadership for all care facilities within the Eastern region.
- Mentor and develop Operations Managers to uphold outstanding care standards and fulfill regulatory obligations.
- Ensure every home maintains or attains Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings of Good or Outstanding.
- Promote ongoing enhancements in care quality, resident satisfaction, and clinical results.
- Manage regional targets related to occupancy, revenue, and EBITDA.
- Oversee budgeting for the region, finding ways to increase efficiency without sacrificing care quality.
- Support recruitment, retention, and succession planning for Home and Operations Managers across the region.
- Encourage a healthy, inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes staff wellbeing and minimizes turnover.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Senior operational leadership experience in care homes or the wider healthcare sector.
- Experience managing multiple locations or service portfolios.
- Comprehensive understanding of CQC standards and adult social care regulations.
- Proven ability to enhance quality and manage underperformance issues.
- Financial acumen with P&L or budget responsibility experience.
- Excellent leadership skills focused on talent development rather than solely performance management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience at regional director level or similar senior roles.
- Familiarity with local care market and commissioning environments.
- Involvement with new care home launches or acquisitions is advantageous.
Mandatory Requirement
Candidates must hold a Registered Manager qualification or have an equivalent clinical or care leadership background.
