Role Overview
The Performance Improvement Coordinator works alongside the manager/director of Performance Improvement to help organize, connect, and carry out organization-wide improvement initiatives. This position supports quality and compliance efforts across the facility.
Work Schedule and Location
This is a full-time day shift position based at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
The role is focused on supporting adherence to company policies as well as state, federal, and accreditation requirements. Typical work includes chart reviews, extracting and organizing data for CMS Core Measures and other quality outcome studies, and educating staff on core measures and updates to new and improved indicators.

Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred. State RN licensure or certification in a healthcare field is also preferred. Prior experience reviewing charts for care-related issues is expected.
Skills and Work Style
The position calls for strong computer ability, especially with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Access. The candidate should be detail-oriented, well organized, able to manage several cases and directions at once, and capable of following tasks through to completion. Strong verbal and written communication skills are important, along with experience communicating with medical staff. Good interpersonal skills, professional ethics, proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and typing are also needed.
