About the Role
We are seeking a diligent Quality Control Lab Technician specialized in medical devices to join our team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time onsite position welcomes applicants of any nationality who are currently residing in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing comprehensive testing and quality assurance activities to align with industry standards and internal protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out physical, functional, and dimensional tests on raw materials, products in production, and finished medical devices following Standard Operating Procedures and ISO 13485 standards.
- Perform evaluations regarding sterility testing, packaging integrity, and related laboratory analyses when applicable.
- Precisely record all test outcomes in laboratory records, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
- Generate test reports and promptly communicate any product non-conformities to the Quality Assurance department.
- Operate laboratory instruments and testing equipment, ensuring they are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and comply with quality system guidelines throughout all activities.
- Support internal auditing processes by maintaining thorough and accurate laboratory documentation and records.
- Contribute to investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective actions concerning product deviations.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects and validations of test methods.
- Provide guidance and assistance to junior laboratory personnel as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 2 to 4 years of experience in quality control within a medical device laboratory setting.
- Have a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in laboratory testing procedures, handling laboratory equipment, and maintaining quality documentation.
- Preferably be familiar with ISO 13485 standards and medical device quality requirements.
