QA Automation Engineer - Bounteous Accolite

We are seeking experienced QA Automation Engineers to join our Chennai team on a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will contribute to designing and implementing quality engineering best practices to ensure robust software testing for complex applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce comprehensive engineering/testing practices to validate complex software products.
• Lead the formulation and execution of integrated testing strategies across multiple teams.
• Conduct independent assessments of functional, regression, and smoke test suites to ensure reliability.
• Manage talent identification, resource planning, and allocation for large-scale quality engineering teams.
• Maintain deep expertise in quality engineering automation frameworks, industry standards, trends, and tools.
• Translate business and system requirements into quality engineering strategies and test plans focused on critical scenarios for large-scale programs.
• Monitor, measure, and report on quality engineering metrics such as test coverage, automation percentage, CI/CD integration, and test script quality.
• Continuously seek process improvements, introduce innovative ideas, and enhance efficiency in testing practices.
• Uphold strict adherence to quality standards and Definition of Done.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience working in Agile development environments using Jira.
• Proficient in testing distributed applications across multiple technology layers.
• Hands-on involvement in the full test management lifecycle.
• Strong background in test automation design, development, and execution with frameworks such as Playwright, Rest-Assured, Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Skilled in programming for test automation using core Java and TypeScript, including database testing with SQL.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot to support testing activities.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Git, Maven, SonarQube, and Jenkins.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Azure cloud technologies and DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines.

Experience & Education

• At least 8 years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years leading quality engineering teams at scale.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years using automation frameworks like Rest-Assured and Playwright.
• At least 4 years of automation scripting experience with Java and TypeScript.
• Good understanding of BDD (Cucumber), TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps concepts.
• Expertise in test automation for REST and SOAP web services using Rest-Assured, web UI automation with Playwright, and database testing with SQL.
