About the Role
Mace blends construction expertise with consultancy to help unlock potential in individuals and projects, continuously pushing the limits of ambition. We are currently looking for Project Managers experienced in the water sector to join a nationwide water body and contribute to various water-related projects.
These positions are open across the country and involve hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days of travel per week. Ideal candidates will have experience working in water, wastewater, potable water, drainage, water infrastructure, or capital delivery plans for water-related projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in executing project plans from initial brief through to completion.
- Coordinate design efforts, procurement activities, and technical services.
- Oversee programme schedules, budgets, risk management, and documentation.
- Maintain quality standards aligned with Mace's internal methodologies.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders and lead key project activities.
- Manage consultants, contractors, and resource allocation efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and embed net-zero sustainability principles.
- Regularly update project plans and document all changes.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree qualification in construction, engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Membership or progress towards recognized professional bodies such as RICS, CIOB, APM, or ICE.
- Demonstrated strong abilities in stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and leadership.
- Experience in water, utilities, or civil infrastructure projects, with an understanding of sustainability and carbon impact considerations.
