Project Manager - Water Sector

We are currently looking for Project Managers experienced in the water sector to join a nationwide water body and contribute to various water-related projects.

These positions are open across the country and involve hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days of travel per week. Ideal candidates will have experience working in water, wastewater, potable water, drainage, water infrastructure, or capital delivery plans for water-related projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in executing project plans from initial brief through to completion.
• Coordinate design efforts, procurement activities, and technical services.
• Oversee programme schedules, budgets, risk management, and documentation.
• Maintain quality standards aligned with Mace's internal methodologies.
• Engage effectively with stakeholders and lead key project activities.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and resource allocation efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and embed net-zero sustainability principles.
• Regularly update project plans and document all changes.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree qualification in construction, engineering, project management, or a related field.
• Membership or progress towards recognized professional bodies such as RICS, CIOB, APM, or ICE.
• Demonstrated strong abilities in stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and leadership.
• Experience in water, utilities, or civil infrastructure projects, with an understanding of sustainability and carbon impact considerations.
