Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Wellington entails overseeing residential construction projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include managing schedules and budgets, coordinating with expeditors, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment, and maintaining construction quality and compliance with building codes. The Project Manager will need to address any on-site challenges, report progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders, and cultivate teamwork to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, including skills in planning, scheduling, budget control, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Competence in expediting processes to secure timely procurement and material delivery.
  • Familiarity with inspection protocols, focusing on quality assurance and regulatory compliance in construction settings.
  • Strong logistics management capabilities to coordinate site resources, supply chains, and contractor activities.
  • Knowledge of residential construction methods and standards from a construction or building industry background.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills with a strong emphasis on detail and safety.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work among diverse teams, clients, and external partners.
  • A relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related area, or equivalent practical experience.
