Role Overview

We offer three fixed-term contract positions (12 months) for skilled Project Managers based in Wellington. These roles are embedded within the Provider Payments Programme, responsible for overseeing delivery across five distinct projects. These projects range from preparing business groups for change to the design, development, and deployment of key ACC systems. Project Managers will lead initiative phases from initial requirements gathering to full implementation, with positions suitable for candidates with both technical and business acumen.

Programme Context

The Provider Payments Programme aims to mitigate critical operational risks and address capability gaps in ACC’s current Provider Payments system. The legacy platform no longer aligns with our future commissioning and payment strategies, which has led to concerns regarding sustainability, data integrity, and operational resilience. Replacement will involve modern, cloud-based payment and record management technologies, enhancing core business operations, streamlining end-to-end processing, and expanding digital self-service functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage project scopes, goals, success metrics, and milestones to bring clarity and order to complex project arrangements.
• Develop and oversee timelines, budgets, risk management, and resource allocation to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery meeting intended objectives.
• Engage multiple internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements collection through to rollout.
• Establish and maintain reporting structures feeding into programme and governance documentation.
• Manage partnerships with internal and external vendors to maintain strong delivery and planning mechanisms.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates are experienced Project Managers adept at handling multifaceted projects and uniting diverse teams for common goals. You possess a solid track record in project delivery, exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities, and can skillfully manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and organizational change. While full expertise is preferred, we value potential and encourage candidates who meet some but not all criteria to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is NZD 117,787 to NZD 166,288, plus an additional 9% superannuation contribution. A comprehensive benefits package includes a superannuation scheme with no mandatory employee contributions, options for life and income protection insurance, and flexibility to adjust plans to ensure long-term financial security.
