Role Summary

The Data Center Project Manager is essential in enhancing the operation and lifecycle management of the EMEA data center campuses. This role focuses on overseeing construction activities within functioning data centers while ensuring continuous resilience and availability for clients. Responsibilities span from project conception, planning, contract management, execution, through to finalization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary modifications within existing data centers, including installation or alteration of equipment.
• Create detailed project scopes for requests for proposals.
• Prepare capital expenditure requests for improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with vendors to design reliable, repeatable solutions yielding consistent outcomes.
• Coordinate with partner teams and stakeholders to schedule works to prevent disruptions to customer services or routine maintenance activities.
• Ensure project handover includes all necessary documentation such as warranties, redlined drawings, completed procedures, and operational sequences.
• Participate in root cause investigations for failures occurring during any project phase.
• Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) with customers and stakeholders.
• Cultivate strong professional relationships with vendors and clients.
• Oversee document management processes upon project completion.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in project planning and management.
• PMP certification is advantageous.
• Technical proficiency encompassing mechanical, electrical, fire protection/detection systems, and building automation controls.
• High attention to accuracy and detail in all tasks.
• Excellent communication skills delivered clearly, positively, and effectively.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities with strong decision-making instincts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• A minimum of five years’ experience operating in critical environments within similar roles.
• Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills.
