About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our client's expanding PMO team in Kildare, contributing to the delivery of some of Ireland's largest renewable energy infrastructure projects. The position offers a hybrid working model (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and the chance to work on major initiatives such as energy parks, wind developments, and significant energy storage facilities that support Ireland's transition to a low-carbon future.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Project Managers in managing large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects throughout all phases, ensuring schedules and milestones are met from planning to commissioning.
- Coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines—including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and specialist fields—to ensure alignment and progress toward project goals without undertaking detailed design tasks.
- Support project planning, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, budgeting, financial reporting, and maintain project documentation per PMO standards.
- Monitor governance compliance involving project risks, planning permissions, environmental regulations, and regulatory approvals within the established PMO framework.
- Prepare reports, coordinate meetings, manage action logs, and maintain comprehensive project records.
Candidate Profile
- Approximately three years' experience in supporting delivery of large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, preferably in renewable energy, utilities, power generation, or major civil infrastructure.
- Proven organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure continuous project progress.
- Educational background in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional project management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or postgraduate certifications are advantageous.
- Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration and reporting; proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project is beneficial.
Benefits and Career Opportunities
- Engagement in nationally significant renewable energy projects influencing Ireland's energy future.
- Long-term career security with a secured 7GW project pipeline stretching to 2040.
- Clear pathways for advancement to Project Manager and Senior Project Manager roles, with possibilities to explore other business divisions.
- Attractive remuneration including competitive salary, annual performance bonus, private healthcare, matched pension contributions, and 24 days annual leave.
- Hybrid work model supporting work-life balance.
- Chance to work alongside seasoned professionals within an experienced PMO environment dedicated to your growth.
