Role Overview

The Production & Quality Assurance Administrator will ideally possess practical experience within food manufacturing, understanding production workflows, product quality, and food safety standards. Though formal quality certifications are not mandatory, candidates should bring substantial technical expertise gained from production floor engagement. The position requires an organized and detail-focused individual capable of managing administrative duties with confidence. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with a stringent Quality Assurance program aligned with internationally recognised standards.
• Maintain and enhance quality standards to satisfy annual audits and certification requirements.
• Conduct visits to suppliers and customers domestically and internationally as necessary.
• Assess supplier manufacturing practices, verify adherence to product specifications, and collaborate on specification development, validation, and ongoing improvements.
• Engage with customers to review quality performance and clarify product specification needs.
• Develop a thorough understanding of company processes and workflows to identify areas for efficiency improvements.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly Quality reports.
• Fulfill customer documentation requests promptly.
• Manage supplier approval processes under quality guidelines.
• Investigate customer complaints efficiently and effectively.
• Manage and update product specifications accurately.
• Verify trade contracts through quality and process checks.
• Perform routine internal audits of Quality and ERP systems.
• Support the creation and upkeep of Quality Documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct training programs to educate staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
• Adopt a hands-on approach to the role.

Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience in food manufacturing or possession of relevant third-level education.
• Familiarity with BRCGS standards, HACCP principles, and food legislation is desirable.
• The company will provide mentoring and suitable training to support the successful candidate in this role.
