Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction, vision, and development roadmap for Duplo Dashboard, which includes spend management, billing, compartmentalisation, TMS, and e-invoicing modules, ensuring alignment with Duplo’s overall platform goals.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of monetisation features related to billing and compartmentalisation, overseeing everything from discovery and detailed product document creation (BRD/PRD) through to launch and user adoption.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Design, Compliance, Finance, and Go-To-Market (GTM) to transform customer and business needs into actionable, well-defined product components.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators for the Dashboard product line, including activation, adoption, and revenue impact, utilizing data insights to inform and prioritise product roadmap decisions.
• Conduct customer discovery and engage with stakeholders in multiple markets across Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, and Kenya to validate use cases and product assumptions.
• Plan and execute migration strategies for existing non-paying customers to upgraded monetised billing features while reducing churn and support issues.
• Create comprehensive and clear product requirement documents, assessing technical feasibility and release sequencing in partnership with engineering teams.
• Serve as the product representative in cross-functional planning discussions and provide mentorship or guidance to fellow product managers when needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Between 5 to 6 years of professional experience in product management, preferably with ownership of B2B fintech, payment, or SaaS products from conception to delivery.
• Proven track record in launching financial operations solutions or monetisation/billing features such as subscriptions, invoicing, or usage-based billing in fintech or B2B settings.
• Strong skills in drafting clear Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and collaborating effectively with diverse teams including Engineering, Design, Compliance, and GTM to deploy complex and regulated products.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to define success metrics, prioritise roadmaps, and make informed trade-offs even with incomplete information.
• Experience or enthusiasm for working within African markets, understanding the challenges of building B2B financial infrastructure across multiple countries.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills with an aptitude for influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Highly proactive and comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment characterized by rapid change and shifting priorities.
