Product Designer

About the Role

We are seeking a Middle Product Designer to join our team in Croatia, focusing on crafting exceptional user experiences within complex and regulated sectors. This position involves shaping intuitive interfaces, collaborating across teams, and ensuring design principles are integral throughout product development. Additionally, you will help develop and sustain a cohesive design system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design lifecycle from research through to final delivery, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for features in areas such as pricing, chargebacks, and Medicaid-like workflows.
• Maintain and evolve components in our existing design system, adhering to consistent and scalable design patterns across our product suite.
• Design user-friendly, visually compelling interfaces with a strong emphasis on interaction design and clear, role-specific dashboards that highlight key performance indicators.
• Ensure all design decisions align with product objectives and user requirements and effectively communicate your rationale to stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders, engaging actively in design workshops and joint problem-solving efforts.
• Integrate AI tools seamlessly into your daily design workflow to enhance productivity and idea exploration.

Candidate Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in product design, supported by a portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual and interaction design as well as strategic product thinking, especially in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of web standards, responsive design, and accessibility best practices.
• Analytical ability to digest intricate, regulated content and simplify it for end users; visual finesse is advantageous but not the primary criterion.
• Experience working in high-complexity fields such as fintech, healthtech, legaltech, or equivalent domains.
• Comfortable utilizing existing design systems by creating new scalable and reusable components.
• Proven track record in participating in design workshops and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
• Confidence in presenting and defending design decisions to stakeholders and engineers, with proficiency in English at C1 level or above.
• Skills in conducting usability tests and user interviews.
• Proficiency with Figma as a design tool.
• A self-driven, proactive approach with passion for innovation and continual learning.
• A forward-thinking attitude towards AI, integrating AI tools consistently within the design process.
• Experience in data visualization and dashboard design is a beneficial plus.
