Role Overview

The Procurement Officer will oversee comprehensive purchasing operations to guarantee timely, economical, and compliant procurement of goods and services. This full-time position is based on-site in Doha, Qatar, involving tasks such as preparing and processing purchase orders, engaging with suppliers, and monitoring delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess vendor proposals and contribute to contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and track inventory levels alongside spending metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and analyze pricing and contractual terms.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in procurement and purchasing, including managing sourcing and vendor relationships.
• Experienced in preparing, reviewing, and processing purchase orders efficiently.
• Skilled in contract negotiation focused on advantageous terms and pricing with suppliers.
• Strong analytical abilities to compare bids and evaluate cost-benefit analyses supporting data-driven decisions.
• Educational credentials such as a diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related disciplines are preferred.
• Prior procurement experience and familiarity with ERP or procurement systems are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with knowledge of local and international procurement regulations.
• Ability to operate effectively within interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
