Job description
Overview
The Procurement Executive will oversee the acquisition of goods and services essential for supporting Everllence Singapore's daily operations. This role involves managing the procurement cycle from initial requests to issuing purchase orders, collaborating closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and compliant deliveries while upholding high documentation standards and supplier management.
Key Duties
- Coordinate the entire procurement process including sourcing, requesting quotations, evaluating offers, negotiating terms, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery progress.
- Acquire materials, equipment, and services needed for workshop activities, engine maintenance, subcontracted projects, logistics, and operational support.
- Track order status and address any delivery, quality, or commercial concerns with suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors based on their quality, pricing, delivery reliability, and commercial terms.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, updating vendor records, and conducting supplier performance assessments.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Service, Workshop, Warehouse, and Finance teams to guarantee timely procurement assistance.
- Ensure all procurement actions comply with company policies, approval protocols, and governance standards.
- Maintain meticulous procurement documentation within the ERP system, ensuring readiness for audits.
- Contribute to procurement reporting, monitor key performance indicators, and participate in ongoing improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or related fields.
- Two to four years of hands-on procurement or purchasing experience.
- Background in marine, offshore, shipyard, engineering, or technical services industries is beneficial.
Skills and Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing processes, RFQ management, purchase orders, and contract administration.
- Strong commercial insight combined with superior analytical and negotiation abilities.
- Effective communication and capability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One.
- Detail-oriented mindset with dedication to compliance and fostering continuous improvements.
