  • Drive closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) linked to deviations and incidents, making sure actions are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Contribute to operational excellence efforts, including process improvement, cost savings, waste reduction, recycling enhancement, and energy-efficiency initiatives.
  • Take part in or lead continuous improvement work using Lean Six Sigma tools, including running improvement meetings, tracking progress, measuring results, and sharing performance updates.
  • Support technology transfer activities when new manufacturing processes or technologies are being introduced.
  • Complete all required Learning Management System (LMS) training within the deadlines set.
  • Work in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), ISO 14001, EMAS, environmental rules, health and safety laws, and company policies, standards, and procedures, while helping with cross-functional compliance efforts.

Required background

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience.
  • Proven success in delivering engineering projects, preferably in a similar manufacturing or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Solid technical understanding of purification and filtration processes, process instrumentation, automation and control systems, equipment qualification, and process validation.
  • Ability to independently deliver engineering projects from design and commissioning through implementation and ongoing maintenance in cGMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Clear evidence of contributing technically to engineering projects and achieving strong project results.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving ability, with Lean Six Sigma experience and preferably Yellow Belt certification or above.

Preferred experience

  • Prior work in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Exposure to cGMP startup or greenfield manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of industrial automation systems such as Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) would be an advantage.
