Role Overview
Join HMP Bullingdon as an Operational Support Grade and contribute to the effective daily operations of a busy prison environment. This dynamic position involves a mix of security, administrative, and physical duties ranging from conducting searches and managing deliveries to supervising visitors and monitoring communications through phone calls and CCTV.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform security checks and searches at the prison entrance.
- Oversee the management and receipt of deliveries within the facility.
- Supervise visitor interactions and manage access protocols.
- Monitor telephone calls and CCTV footage to maintain security standards.
- Conduct physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and escorting vehicles inside the prison grounds.
Work Conditions and Requirements
Working hours include varied shifts with the expectation to work weekends and nights. The role is based onsite at HMP Bullingdon, located in Bicester, England. While possession of a driving licence and personal transport is advantageous due to limited public transit options, it is not strictly mandatory unless otherwise specified.
Applicants must hold a full, valid UK driving licence inclusive of category D1, permitting the operation of vehicles with no more than 16 passenger seats, maximum length of 8 meters, and trailers up to 750kg.
