Presales Engineer – Audio Visual (AV), ELV, and ICT Systems

About the Role

We seek a proficient Presales Engineer with 3-5 years of experience specializing in Audio Visual (AV), Extra Low Voltage (ELV), and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems. The individual will work closely with the sales team to devise technical designs, draft proposals, evaluate tenders, and deliver client-oriented presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs, tender documents, BOQs, and technical specifications thoroughly.
• Develop integrated system designs encompassing AV, ELV, and ICT according to project criteria.
• Formulate detailed technical proposals, compliance reports, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Create system architecture diagrams, network layouts, rack configurations, and schematic drawings.
• Liaise with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, and suppliers regarding product selection, pricing, and technical support.
• Perform site assessments and participate actively in client consultations.
• Provide robust technical assistance during sales presentations, negotiations, and discussions.
• Ensure all solutions align with UAE regulations, relevant authority guidelines, and global standards.
• Collaborate extensively with estimating, procurement, engineering, and project delivery teams.
• Analyze tenders to spot technical risks and suggest cost-effective, value-engineered alternatives.
• Remain informed about advances in AV, ELV, and ICT fields.

Technical Expertise

• Audio Visual (AV): Meeting and boardroom technology, video conferencing, LED and digital displays, interactive screens, public address and music systems, professional audio setups, room booking technologies.
• ELV Systems: CCTV surveillance, access control, structured cabling, intrusion alarms, barrier and parking management, intercom, master clock systems.
• ICT Infrastructure: LAN/WAN networking, enterprise Wi-Fi, network switching and routing, data center hardware, server and storage devices, UPS, fiber optics.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years experience in presales or system integration for AV, ELV, or ICT sectors.
• Proficient in preparing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals.
• Strong familiarity with UAE authority standards and project requirements.

Preferred Experience

Hands-on experience with major OEM brands such as Cisco, HPE Aruba, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, LG, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Bosch, Hikvision, Hanwha Vision, Axis, Honeywell, Genetec, Milestone, CommScope, Panduit, Belden, Legrand, Schneider Electric, and APC is highly valued.

Software Proficiency

• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Visio
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
