Job description

Role Overview

As a Pharmacy Dispenser at Boots UK, you will play an essential role within the pharmacy team in a retail store setting, supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy and healthcare services safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals in the store to aid in managing pharmacy services.
  • Offer advice and care to patients regarding medications, escalating queries appropriately to pharmacists.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain legal and safe dispensing practices.
  • Stay informed about new store innovations and adhere to operational protocols.
  • Help patients confidently manage their prescriptions, encourage medication adherence, and minimize waste.

Requirements

  • Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ Level 2 qualification or an equivalent credential, or currently pursuing with at least one year completed of an MPharm degree.
  • Valid UK right to work authorization is required; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visas is not available.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within community pharmacy settings is advantageous.
