Position Overview
The bank is urgently seeking a Personal Banker Classic based in Bangalore with branches located in Frazer Town, Halasuru, Wilson Garden, Empire Infantry Road, and Cambridge Road, Ulsoor. The role requires managing and growing the Classic portfolio by acquiring new customers, enhancing relationships through cross-selling suitable products, retaining clients, and becoming their primary banking contact to maximize wallet share.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain daily sales reports and conduct outbound calls (CH 104 & 106) for customer engagement.
- Deliver structured bundled offerings of products and services within defined timelines.
- Acquire quality new Savings and Current Account customers including resident and non-resident individuals.
- Generate and manage client leads through various channels including walk-ins, referrals, family, friends, and associates.
- Control attrition by persuading account continuance and renewal of fixed deposits.
- Cross-sell additional products such as Demat accounts, bill payment services, advisory services, credit cards, and third-party products—including mutual funds, insurance, and RBI bonds.
- Ensure compliance with necessary certifications like NISM V-A.
- Activate newly opened accounts and maintain average monthly balances as per product definitions.
- Engage inactive customers to boost balance build-up and cross-selling opportunities.
- Handle corporate salary customer calls to regain and retain clients transferring accounts to other banks.
- Make calls to customers with large value attrition and work to re-establish HDFC Bank as their primary financial partner.
- Manage customer grouping and assess income-generating product holdings to ensure portfolio profitability and growth.
- Utilize online CRM tools for detailed call planning, customer profiling, and interaction documentation.
- Meet monthly and yearly income targets and portfolio benchmarks across product lines.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in banking and wealth management.
- Any graduate degree is required.
- Proven skills in relationship building, sales, and client retention within retail branch banking.
- Ability to manage classic portfolio accounts and enhance client engagement through strategic cross-selling.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and data-driven sales planning.
