The company develops advanced technologies for U.S. national security and defense, with a long history of supporting Department of Defense customers through remote sensing algorithms, tools, and methods used for missile defense, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, space domain awareness, and aircraft survivability missions.

Role Overview
SciTec is hiring a People Operations Manager to help support its people, culture, and mission during a period of growth. This role sits at the intersection of HR operations, recruiting coordination, employee relations, and performance management, while also advising managers and supervisors and helping build scalable people programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, launch, and maintain training programs covering management, science and engineering, and software topics.
- Work with managers and senior leaders to spot skill gaps and create plans to close them.
- Coordinate across HR, recruiting, and hiring managers so hiring priorities match contract requirements and company needs.
- Act as a go-to resource for managers and employees on performance issues, employee relations matters, and workplace concerns.
- Coach supervisors on documentation, employee support, and resolution approaches.
- Handle investigations, corrective actions, and policy interpretation work.
- Monitor and interpret workforce metrics such as retention, training, promotions, and internal movement to support planning and growth.
- Help improve employee engagement, retention, and internal communication efforts.
- Partner with leadership to create HR programs and processes that can scale with the organization.
- Shape and improve HR policies, procedures, and overall people strategy.
- Advance best practices in performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a closely related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Employee Relations, including a minimum of 2 years in a federal contractor setting.
- Strong people skills, communication ability, and relationship-building capability.
- Comfort with technology, quick learning of new systems, and the ability to review and interpret data.
- Independent work style with the initiative to learn, investigate, and solve problems without heavy direction.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage a fast-moving, varied workload while staying accurate and detail-oriented.
- Ability to protect and handle highly confidential information appropriately.
- Capacity to balance compliance demands with practical business and employee needs.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
- Background supporting multi-site or distributed teams.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or an equivalent certification.
- Experience working with engineering, intelligence, or defense technology teams.
- An active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this role is $157,000 to $194,000. Final compensation depends on factors such as the role’s responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, education or training, and relevant skills.
