Overview
The People Manager is a pivotal contributor to Russell Reynolds Associates' initiatives across the Americas region. Reporting to the Director, People – Americas, this role collaborates closely with the global People team to handle a broad spectrum of human capital responsibilities. Key focus areas include employee relations, daily transactional activities, and talent management. The role mandates expertise in managing a large workforce across the Americas and requires partnership with senior leaders such as Hub Leaders, Finance, department heads, and Legal. The role also aligns with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a business partner and subject matter expert on all human capital issues for stakeholders in the Americas.
- Provide regular reports and analytical insights on employee matters to key stakeholders.
- Support international projects alongside the People Director and global People team.
- Lead employee relations efforts including disciplinary actions, leave management, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with Legal and People Operations to maintain compliance with legal and administrative requirements.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze findings to address retention challenges.
- Oversee the mid-year and year-end performance appraisal processes.
- Monitor appraisals, identify performance issues, and notify relevant stakeholders.
- Coach managers and leaders to foster a culture of continuous, constructive feedback.
- Lead talent review discussions including succession planning for critical positions.
- Advise and assist stakeholders on performance management and employee retention strategies.
- Support employees through the exit process.
- Drive the annual bonus allocation process, ensuring understanding among decision makers.
- Collaborate with Benefits team to ensure delivery of effective employment benefits in accordance with contracts.
- Ensure compliance with employment and Health & Safety laws in local offices and recommend corrective measures as needed.
- Communicate policy updates and procedural changes to teams in relevant countries.
- Partner with People Operations and external immigration counsel to address immigration matters.
- Support international employee transfers alongside Benefits teams.
- Collaborate with hiring agencies, internal talent acquisition, and leaders to secure top candidates.
- Provide leaders with comprehensive information to facilitate informed internal recruitment decisions.
- Work with People Operations to uphold contractual agreements during hiring.
Compensation
Compensation depends on factors such as work location, skills, experience, and business needs. For New York City-based employees, the estimated base salary ranges from $115,000 to $130,000. This figure reflects an estimate of the base salary range at posting and is part of the broader total rewards package offered by Russell Reynolds Associates.
