Role Overview
We seek a Benefits Coordinator to become part of our in-clinic team. This individual will be highly organized, understanding, and professional, skilled in guiding patients through their intake and treatment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a seamless, professional intake experience within the clinic.
- Assist patients with paperwork, benefit inquiries, appointment scheduling, and coordination of care.
- Help patients comprehend their treatment workflows, insurance coverage, financial obligations, and subsequent steps.
- Communicate sensitively and clearly with patients who may be experiencing pain or anxiety or are unfamiliar with medical procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with clinical personnel, healthcare providers, billing, and administrative staff to deliver accurate and prompt patient assistance.
- Conduct follow-ups concerning appointments, documentation, treatment plans, and questions related to benefits.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive patient records, ensuring all necessary data is gathered.
- Provide educational information in straightforward, understandable terms for patients.
- Establish trust with patients through empathy, professionalism, and reliable follow-through.
- Encourage patient engagement and confidence in proceeding with recommended healthcare treatments.
- Apply ethical sales techniques and relationship building to help patients recognize the value of treatment options and complete their care plans.
Candidate Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, clinical settings, patient coordination, benefits administration, insurance, or customer service is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Adept at clearly and confidently conveying information.
- Comfortable discussing patient benefits, financial responsibilities, and available care choices.
- High empathy, patience, and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic clinic environment.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems, scheduling software, or similar technology.
- Background in sales, hospitality, healthcare administration, or direct patient interaction is advantageous.

Compensation and Employment Details
