Role Summary
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. This role involves supporting various legal and administrative activities including KYC/onboarding procedures, company secretarial tasks, and assisting with special legal projects. The position is suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle KYC and onboarding inquiries from financial institutions, corporate service providers, insurers, and auditors.
- Review and proofread legal documents to ensure precision and uniformity.
- Support company secretarial operations such as drafting meeting minutes, registering share transfers and resolutions, updating group structure charts, and conducting due diligence on group entities.
- Coordinate with corporate service providers as required.
- Assist legal counsel with various ad hoc projects and tasks.
- Maintain and oversee data room management.
- Provide general file management and administrative assistance within the legal department.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Essential: LLB degree or completion of the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL).
- Strong academic performance is required.
- At least two years of professional experience as a Paralegal.
- Proficient organizational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to function effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Desirable: Legal Practice Course (LPC) qualification.
- Experience in litigation and/or corporate law is advantageous.
- Previous work experience either within a law firm's corporate department or an in-house legal team is preferred.
