Role Overview

The Owner oversees the complete strategic direction, operational management, and growth trajectory of the IEEE student branch. This full-time position based in Gorakhpur entails planning annual activities, approving event calendars, and ensuring compliance with IEEE and university guidelines. Responsibilities include managing committees, mentoring student leaders, building partnerships with faculty, industry stakeholders, and other IEEE branches, as well as handling budgeting, resource distribution, and documentation to ensure effective branch operations. Daily duties involve evaluating project proposals, tracking ongoing initiatives, boosting member involvement, and representing the branch in official and collaborative meetings.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and management skills including team guidance, task delegation, and oversight of projects or student groups.
• Strong organizational aptitude for event coordination, schedule management, and branch administration.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with students, faculty, and external partners and to present ideas clearly.
• Educational background or keen interest in engineering, technology, or related fields with awareness of IEEE’s goals and programs.
• Commitment to working full-time on-site in Gorakhpur for consistent availability during meetings and events.
• Experience or familiarity with budgeting, resource management, or administrative responsibilities within academic or professional environments is advantageous.
• Previous engagement in student leadership roles, clubs, or technical societies, especially IEEE or comparable technical bodies, is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in an engineering, technology, or related course at MMMUT or a similar institute is desirable.
