Overview
Reporting directly to the Overnight Supervisor, the Overnight Task Team Outfitter plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operational function of the retail store. This position focuses on minimizing non-selling responsibilities for Sales Outfitters, enabling them to dedicate more time to outstanding customer service and sales engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out replenishment tasks across multiple departments including Fishing, Hunting, Camping, Marine/Water Sports, Apparel, Footwear, Hunt Clothing, and Gifts.
- Assist inventory control through partnership with the Inventory Control team by performing on-demand inventory counts, scanning empty product pegs, and maintaining display standards.
- Execute both temporary and permanent price changes by handling tagging, signage updates, and reviewing inventory adjustments.
- Perform recovery operations such as folding, repackaging, sorting, facing products, and re-hanging items to maintain store organization.
- Support visual merchandising efforts including fixture replacements, updating signs and end caps, following merchandising directives, floor rearrangements, dressing mannequins, prepping merchandise for promotions, and resetting departments as necessary.
- Help with planogram implementation and upkeep across all hardlines sections.
- Contribute to OMNI (online and in-store) order fulfillment during busy periods.
- Provide exceptional customer service ensuring shoppers have a positive experience.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by management as required.
Qualifications
- Preferably has one or more years of experience in a sales or service role.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Knowledge or familiarity with planograms and visual merchandising techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to recognize and replenish inventory when stock is low or out.
- Willingness and availability to work overnight shifts.
- Strong customer service skills and sound judgment capabilities.
- Prior experience related to the outdoor lifestyle field is a bonus.
- Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s merchandise is considered an asset.
