Job Overview

The Operator plays a vital role in supporting the Lead Operator by executing assigned tasks and ensuring compliance with company protocols. Working collaboratively within a team, the Operator contributes to the smooth operation of extrusion and reinforcement machinery, maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards throughout their shift.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to company policies, operational guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Uphold personal and team safety by following all instructions and reporting any hazards or quality concerns prior to work commencement.
• Assist the Lead Operator in setting up and running extrusion machines, including both Base and Cover Production Lines, as well as reinforcement equipment like Tape Line 1 and Tape Line 2.
• Maintain organized and clean workspaces in alignment with 5S principles, ensuring materials are stored properly.
• Complete all required documentation accurately as per procedural standards.
• Support the Lead Operator in troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges in real-time.
• Execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives on extrusion and tape lines to optimize machinery uptime.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and Lead Operator to address minor quality issues promptly.
• Observe safe manual handling practices and contribute to a safer, healthier workplace environment.

Required Experience and Skills

• Preferably possess a background or experience with pipe extrusion or related extrusion machine environments.
• Familiarity with extrusion equipment processes is advantageous.
• Proven experience in a progressive manufacturing setting or equivalent industrial environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools and the ability to generate routine and production reports.
• Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively across organizational levels.
• Ability to understand varied instructions presented orally, in writing, or visually through diagrams or schedules.
• Analytical problem-solving abilities and keen to suggest improvements within their work area.
• Competency in reading and comprehending safety guidelines, work orders, operating manuals, and machine documentation.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating system, electronic communication, and presentation software.

Educational Qualifications

• Technical college diploma or equivalent certification.
• Graduation from an extrusion or plastic industry-related institute is preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum of three years' experience in manufacturing or industrial settings for experienced hires.
• Fluent proficiency in both Arabic and English languages.
