Job Overview
GreenSlate is seeking a dedicated Office Manager and People Operations Assistant to serve as the welcoming presence and operational backbone of our Burbank office. This role involves greeting visitors, managing phone communications, and ensuring daily office functions proceed seamlessly. You'll also collaborate intimately with the People Operations team to enhance employee engagement, manage onboarding, administer benefits, uphold labor law compliance, and organize company events. Additionally, you'll provide backup support to Payroll Operations by handling payroll-related mailings and E-Verify processes promptly and accurately. Your efforts will keep our workforce supported and our office environment running smoothly, empowering GreenSlate's mission to revolutionize entertainment payroll and production accounting.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls, welcome visitors, and address general inquiries to maintain smooth office operations.
- Support office administration tasks such as organizing supplies, scheduling meetings, and keeping the office orderly.
- Prepare for client and guest meetings held on-site.
- Assist the People Operations team with employee engagement and administrative tasks including tracking training, creating holiday and payroll communications calendars, handling unemployment insurance claims, and maintaining labor law poster compliance for all employees.
- Help the benefits team address employee inquiries and support related notices.
- Lead onboarding activities for new hires and maintain the company intranet.
- Coordinate distribution of GreenSlate gear to employees.
- Organize regional and company-wide events with People Operations and the Social Committee.
- Provide administrative support to various departments as necessary to ensure efficient task execution.
- Perform backup duties for Payroll Operations, including managing payroll-related outgoing mailings and E-Verify tasks.
- Serve as the point person for ordering office supplies for other GreenSlate offices.
Candidate Profile
- 1-2 years of experience in office administration or People Operations support is preferred.
- Self-motivated and capable of proactive decision-making in a fast-moving work environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities combined with a professional, approachable manner for handling calls and visitors.
- Excellent organizational skills and aptitude for multitasking.
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications.
- Ability to manage confidential information responsibly and with integrity.
- Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Additional Information
The role requires regular hearing, vision (both near and far), standing, sitting, and manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
